What is located between a horse’s nose and its tail?

A Horse, of Course!

Dreams Are Amazing

Dreams represent many different things to everyone. They are as individual as the person they belong to. It is up to you to determine what they mean to you.

My own personal experiences have not been one of in-depth dream investigation, so I tend to be a bit blasé about it all. So when it came time for me to dictate how I handled and managed my own dreams, it was well planned and thought out. Through my studies of the subconscious, I have formed certain opinions of how I would prefer my dreams to reveal their true nature to me. I am about to share a dream event with you. And it probably will not be very exciting to you. I am acting as a journalist reporting, “How it all happened”.

I had a Dream …

There was a fire! But, it was just a small fire1 when I noticed it. As I looked around, it became obvious that nobody else had noticed it. I looked around for something like a fire alarm to “sound the alarm”. But there were none around. No fire fighting equipment, either. I ran around notifying everyone I saw of the fire, but they were preoccupied and just ignored me.

What was completely out of place for me is where this was all taking place. I was in the Engine Room2 of a ship3. Even though I had never been here in this place before, by the equipment and instrumentation I knew what this place was. For some reason, even though the fire was small and almost unnoticeable, I felt a huge sense of urgency; that if the fire wasn’t dealt with immediately that it would destroy the entire ship.

The small fire was coming from some type of electrical component within a clear cover. So there was no easy way to really get to the fire to put it out. Also, to use water on a fire in electrical equipment is not a good idea and can easily lead to electrocution. There were no easy solutions to be had. The unusual thing was the fire was a blue flame, like air is blown through it, sort of like what you see with a torch.

The reason I am telling you the detail is that I want to point out what role the photographic memory plays when it comes to the inner workings of your subconscious mind. Over a week has passed since I had the dream. The images of what occurred in my dream are as clear and intense now as when they first occurred. They are clearer than real life!

Another piece of this vision was a peculiar odor that the flame was giving off; cloying, choking, yet vaguely familiar4. And that smell, too, was completely out of place. It was very pungent, acrid, and thick5. This odor is the prime key that connects all the events together.

I came to the conclusion that I had to be the person that took action otherwise the vessel was doomed!

Here is a list of circumstances that have been brought to my attention:

The small fire

Engine Room

Located in a ship or vessel

Choking smell of smoke, but out of place, odor vaguely familiar

Odor is pungent, acrid, and thick

About the Photographic Memory

Some studies of the photographic memory suggest that memories gained in this way dull and lose their detail in 3 – 4 minutes. But even today, over a week later, I can see it as if was occurring clearly in front of me at this very moment. By my own experiences (too many to count besides this one) I challenge the claims that the photographic memory is not real or has minimal value over long periods of time.

My logic is this: From all of my experience with the photographic memory / eidetic memory, and other cognitive abilities; if someone tells me the photographic memory is just something that goes bump in the night, my own personal evidence and experiences show me otherwise.

Empathy for the Non-Believer…

The photographic memory has been cannon fodder for many people over the years because it is primarily associated with the subconscious mind. Since people are not in good touch with their subconscious, they find it unfathomable to imagine that their photographic memory has never left them; that it has always been there. The only time many of them are in contact with their subconscious is when they are asleep, dreaming.

To some, the adult eidetic memory (photographic memory) is the bastard step-child of the psychological world – to be picked upon. For others like me, we possess our own irrefutable proof that supports our unwavering conviction of its existence and accessibility to everyone.

Have you ever wondered why, when you go through your daily activities, that you do not meet these people all over the place? Approximately 1 out of every 20 people you encounter are serious eidetikers that have some relationship with their photographic memory. It is because at an early age, they were taught to hide their abilities. I know many people that went through school making sure to miss 1 or 2 questions on their tests so they didn’t draw attention to themselves.

It comes down to this. Recognizing and trusting your photographic memory is a relationship, between you (your conscious) and a lover that has left you that you no longer trust (your subconscious). Even when you find that your subconscious has been right there all along, it still doesn’t commit you to trusting it. That is why you must be taught how to build and support that relationship. Eventually, you come to trust it once again. Thus, your photographic memory is allowed to be a part of your life once more.

Revisiting the Dream

So now we can go back to what led us here in the first place; my dream. Again, I have had a significant dream that my photographic memory remembers every detail of. What does it have to do with my life? What is the connection? My surroundings in my dream were completely foreign from anyplace I had ever visited. Where did it all fit?

Along my personal soul searching for methodically simplifying my relationship with my own subconscious, I decided long ago to direct my mind to only remember dreams that were important to me. Since I dream hundreds of dreams each night, it is nice to pre-filter them down to remembering just the important dreams. With the gravity and intensity this dream possessed, I knew it must be important to me. It was.

The Connection

That morning while feeding the horses, I noticed that one horse had a cough that turned out to be an upper respiratory infection. He had not eaten much of the food from the previous night and had not drunk his water. He also had an elevated temperature and a sore throat. (You think us humans have it bad when we have a sore throat, think of an equine having a sore throat. That is a lot of throat! Be thankful it was not a giraffe!)

The sore throat and the cough is something he would most likely get over naturally without treatment. But whenever horses don’t drink, they dehydrate. Dehydration leads to colic, and equine colic is deadly. Most horses that don’t get to old age die of colic. So, I am not just treating the horse for the cough, sore throat, and fever; I am also treating him for colic. I really don’t need to go into all the details as to how you treat a horse for colic. Let’s say it is a bit messy at times when dealing with that side of things.

But along with the mess, there are particular odors and a cloying acrid smell. To another horse, it is like walking through the rose garden. But it is different for humans. But keep in mind; I would select a horse when compared to most other animals for those types of odors. (My experiences in life have taken me far and wide.)

So let’s take a look at the list we created before:

The small fire – Sore throat and elevated temperature.

Engine Room – The Engine Room of the horse is his gut. If that doesn’t work, he is DEAD in the water – Equine colic.

Located in a ship or vessel – The vessel IS the horse. The entire list had to do with the horse. If I had not acted quickly, my chances of saving the horse would get bad quickly.

Choking smell of smoke, but out of place, odor vaguely familiar – The odor of equine feces, making note of the colic.

Odor is pungent, acrid, and thick – Same thing.

Remember Important Dreams

When I remembered the dream, it signaled me to take heed and pay attention to my surroundings. The detail from the dream gave me specific insight that allowed me to connect-the-dots. Most of the dots were seen after the fact. That is why it is said that “hindsight is 20/20 vision”. The result of me being aware of a potential problem and acting quickly, I was successful at saving the horse. Today he was running around the paddock as he normally does, without a care, as horses do. (Joke ahead… He is so inconsiderate. He didn’t even thank me. Neigh!) The story may have had a different ending if I had not acted when I did.

Epilogue:

Because I have directed my subconscious to make only my important dreams memorable, I can easily tell what dreams I need to pay attention to. Coupled by the fact that I fully accept my photographic memory as a part of me as a complete human being, I cannot be dissuaded from tapping into it and using it. With the recall of critical key pieces of information from my dream in high resolution for an extended period of time allowing me the avenue to remember each detail completely while I am writing this story for you. After I have completed the writing, the event will be shelved because it has served its’ functions.

I hope you found this article intriguing and are enjoying the use of your photographic memory. There is a big bright world out there you are most likely not experiencing. Life is full of experiences waiting just for you. But you must take those first steps to make it all happen.

2 Pages Per Second – Minimum

by Thornton Massie Tice

My son came to me one night while I was working on the computer and asked, “Poppa, can you find something about speed reading on the Internet for me? I’d like to learn it.” “Sure” I replied, and within a few seconds I had a page of speed reading courses that were offered. One particular one caught my eye. It read, “25,000 words per minute minimum!” I chose that one and clicked on it and up popped a presentation by a company named Brain Management®. I read through their web pages at “www.eBrain.com.au” and “www.ZOXpro.com” and discovered that they don’t actually teach speed-reading. They teach “Mental Photography®”.

Photographic Memory

I became very excited because they seem to offer a lost piece of my life experience that I thought that I would be able to have from the time that I was a child. When I was a youngster my father was a newspaper editor. At night he would sit down and literally flip through the pages of a book and sometimes hand the book to me and say, “Here Son, read me a sentence from anywhere in the book. I thought that it was some kind of trick, but he could do it even if I went around the corner into the hallway. Dad explained to me that he had a photographic memory.

My Mother recently told me, Dad would bring a stack of books to bed each night and read them all in just a few minutes. She asked, “Thornton, what are you doing?” He stopped flipping the pages, looked at her and said, “Reading.” “No one can read that fast.” she replied. “It’s impossible!” He assured her that he could. I thought Dad would always be there for me and never asked him to teach me how this was done. My father died when I was twenty years old. I have lamented my not having gotten an understanding of his photographic memory.

When I read the information on Brain Management and their course on Mental Photography I shouted, “Eureka!” This is something that I want to make sure that all of my children have.” Now they have made it easier to get over the Internet with ZOX Pro Training.

A NEW way to Learn How to Learn

Richard Welch, CEO and Founder says that everyone is born with the ability to learn by Mental Photography and in fact everyone uses it to learn everything – until we are about five years old. That is when we enter the public school system and learn the Rote-Memory System of reading. I believe that is when the brakes are put on our learning process and we move from potential genius into slow thinkers that store most educational matter into our short-term memory rather than our long-term memory. Learning by Mental Photography places matter into our long-term memory. That’s why my father could remember every word in the dictionary without “memorizing” the words. Excitedly, I e-mailed Brain Management and told them I wanted to take my whole family to America to learn this wonderful ability that my father had.

Brain Management – Powerful!

The Brain Management Seminar is truly a Whole Life Enhancement Course, and it is powerful! Mental Photography is used for much more than assimilating information. It is the life force of the course. Mental Photography is the Key for making this all work. As a Brain Management student, you experience Mental Photography, take tests, etc,… then they teach you ways in which to recall that information when you ‘need’ it.” It is a very specific method of directing information into the long-term memory.

Mental Photography bypasses Dyslexia!

During the class, adults and children with dyslexia quickly overcame that problem, and after the seminar function with excellence and confidence in education and writing, and any other challenge.

My father stacked up degrees during his lifetime. He sort of collected them. After all, all he had to do was mentally photograph the books into his long-term memory and take the exams. Now I will be able to learn what was natural to me as a child, and take that ability with me to easily further my education. Why not!? Others are doing it!

There are several languages that I want for my children and myself to know. By Mentally Photographing the cross language dictionaries of any desired language into the long-term memory, it is possible to know the whole vocabulary of a language in as much time as it takes to flip the pages of the book. Then by Mentally Photographing a study book for that language, the only thing you’re short, is knowing the sound of the language. For that you could listen to tapes or speak with someone who speaks that particular language.

Limitless Brainpower

The possibilities are limitless with this kind of brainpower. For years scientists have told us that we use less than ten percent of our brain’s capacity. Now I have found the way back into the other ninety percent and intend to see that my wife and children learn it and move through life with the confidence that will be theirs with this command of powerful intelligence that is naturally available for all of our children. This reinforces my personal long held understanding that all of mankind is born genius and then robbed of it by being taught an unnatural method of learning – “reading”. Mental Photography puts real meaning to the phrase, “Be all that you can be!”

Empower Yourself!

Successful Brain Management and Mental Photography Seminars have been taught throughout the world and offer FREE REFRESHERS FOR LIFE. They are committed to the success of their students.

Finally, this superior training is available on the Internet at http://ZOXpro.com/ ZOX Pro Training. It is deceptively over-simplified, and driven to help you succeed.

Imagine what your employer would say if you told him you would be happy to peruse a 400 page report over the next 10 days and get back to him then. What if you were to speed read instead? Reading doesn’t work!

Reading

Imagine pulling open a good long novel while sitting in your favourite chair in front of an open fireplace for a good long read. Taking your time to absorb yourself in the plot as it thickens, the evening wears on. You find that even though you have been reading for over an hour, you have only gone through about 40 pages. If you do the same thing every night for 10 days, you finally be at the end of your 400 page novel. That’s fine, if you have plenty of time to burn.

Now, imagine what your employer would say if you told him you would be happy to peruse a 400 page report over the next 10 days and get back to him then. What if you were to speed read instead? Reading Doesn’t Work!

Speed Reading

It is no secret that when you speed read, you are neither reading everything, nor are you taking it all in for accuracy. How do you feel about your skill with speed reading? Do you feel that you have missed a lot? Even if the document now only takes you one or two hours instead of 10 hours, do you feel your accuracy of information is there? Are you confident in presenting your findings after just speed reading? Probably not.

Let’s look at the statistics. You have been told that reading is the most accurate way of dealing with information, right? Did you know that you will immediately forget 50% of what you just read? Can you imagine how ineffective reading is when you forget 95% of what you read, in only 48 hours? Did you know that if you were given a comprehensive test covering all the topics you passed tests on in school that you would most likely fail miserably as an adult?

But when you look at speed reading, you would probably think that since you are using fewer words to get your information that you would be even worse off. Right?… Wrong! Statistics prove that speed reading has higher comprehension of information, and even a longer hang time of the information than reading.

So why would people that learn speed reading, and know the statistics, go back to much slower ineffective reading for their information? Most people do not have confidence in speed reading. Even though the statistics prove otherwise, people were taught form an early age that reading is “the way”. Speed Reading Fails!

Photographic Memory

There is another way to gain information that is much more effective that reading or speed reading. When you were born, you had a photographic memory. It isn’t limited to just seeing either. It is a photographic memory on all senses. It is called the eidetic memory. Better yet, it is completely natural!

There is a new way to learn that uses that photographic memory you misplaced. It is called Mental Photography. It was invented in 1975 by Richard Welch from speed reading.

Your pursuit for perfection of your mind, body, and spirit can run you ragged, also known as “Developmentitus”. Prevent it from crippling your best efforts.

Are you infected with Developmentitus?

Recently, I have had a lot of clients asking me one thing. They have been asking my opinion as to how ZOX Pro Training interacts with other trainings. This led me to realize that with so many trainings available, some people can lose their effectiveness while pursuing the “better me” within.

ZOX Pro Training and Brain Management are very unique in design. Simplistically, our training is easily used to learn and support any other training or mind discipline. WOW! You would ask me why? The answer is not complex or hidden. The answer is Mental Photography (ZOXing).

Since Mental Photography is the first way we learn everything via the eidetic memory (commonly known as the photographic memory), it is the basis of all learning; the benchmark. So no mater what it is you want to learn, if you want to learn it better and easier, use Mental Photography; it’s the natural way to learn

The second issue that frequently comes up at the same time is people using more than one training at the same time they are learning another. I realize that many people would find a way to justify that course of action. Allow me to provide you a scenario:

Scenario 1: A person is taking a speed reading course, a mega-speed reading course, and is asking about doing Mental Photography at the same time. I am NOT going to recommend that action. Here is why:

a. The person cannot tell where there results are coming from. This creates confusion to what is working and what is not.

b. The person may have conflicting information coming from different trainings. Again, this only adds to the confusion.

c. ZOX Pro Training (Mental Photography) in this case is definitely a superior product because of the level of training the person receives. Remember, ZOX Pro Training is actually a “mental discipline”. We approach things very differently with our trainings. We help people make huge gains by helping them change the way they perceive how learning works, or in some cases how it doesn’t work.

Multiple Trainings Cause Confusion

This can easily confuse people that are involved with other trainings that teach things differently than what we teach you. We want everyone to have results. We have geared ZOX Pro Training, as well as our other trainings, for results. You may be inhibiting your results by mixed signals from other trainings. If this is happening to you, don’t panic. Again, after you learn our methods, you can apply ZOX Pro Training to all the other trainings afterwards, making them easier than ever.

Scenario 2: You have a vocabulary builder, a memory enhancer, speed reading, a meditation schedule, lists of affirmations stuck up everywhere you look, a daily organizer that is meant to keep track of it all (but you never have time to look at it). And so on, and so on…

All these techniques may be good and work as separate devices. But when you put them all together, you find that your life becomes so cluttered, you cannot tell what, if anything, is happening to create that positive life you want.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:

Stop doing other trainings while you are learning ZOX Pro Training. This will give you the best opportunity to really FOCUS on one training instead of the many things that waste your time, confuse you, and inhibit your results.

When you create results from your focused action, you will easily see where they have come from – without question.

KEEP IN MIND:

Since ZOX Pro Training is a mind discipline, it will affect ALL areas of your life. So don’t limit yourself by only looking for results in the information area. There are so many other areas of life you need to work on. Look for success in family, relationships, health, wealth, work, prestige, decreasing stress, vocabulary and languages, creativity, decision making, athletic ability and sports, just to point out a few.

So, if you want to prevent yourself from suffering Self-Developmentitis, here is what to do: (WARNING: Joke Ahead) Take 2 ZOX Pro Trainings, give one to a friend, and DON’T call me in the morning. (You should be too busy making a great life for yourself.)

Great Things Happen Here!

Part 2 – Autism and the Adult Photographic Memory

Some time ago, I wrote an article called “Proof of the Adult Photographic Memory Hiding in the Shadows of Autism”. It talked about twin autistic savants (referred to as the Rain Man Twins) that could remember everything down to the finest detail, for the entirety of their lives.

That article is quite meaningful, because it points out the different lifestyle they lead in comparison to the majority of the populace. The most outstanding difference was the lack of decision making. They simply didn’t need to make decisions on a daily basis like most people must. They adhered to a regimen, and if something happened that changed their routine, it had disastrous effects.

Well, I now have something else to reveal to you that has been passed on to me by one of my clients. Another autistic savant, Stephen Wiltshire, which is referred to as the “Human Camera”. He draws entire cityscapes from memory. From his unique abilities, he has been encouraged to create a business by supportive family members.

A reoccurring theme that I have observed form the documented cases I have seen, at least most of the savants have some form of autism, and tend to be anti-social – they have problems when they must interact with other people. Stephen Wiltshire expresses this problem too, as he didn’t learn to talk until the age of 5, and was not conversant until the age of 9, which is revealed in this video clip.

To see what I am referring to, please visit the link below:

http://video.stumbleupon.com/#p=0k4lsi1dql

As the previous article pointed out, there is plenty of proof that the adult photographic memory is alive and well and doing a lot of great things for people. The second most profound concurrence, and in my opinion is of more importance, is the more you can mentally isolate yourself from the daily trappings of the normal plethora of distractions, the easier it becomes to tap into your natural abilities such as the photographic memory.

You will also like referring to other articles I wrote on the topic:

Just when you thought I was sending you another ‘bleep’ about marketing, I am giving you CRITICAL INFORMATION about your brain. This is about how your mind works!

Gotcha!…

I would love to see the expression on your face right now…

Just when you thought I was sending you another ‘bleep’ about Internet Marketing, I am giving you CRITICAL INFORMATION about your brain. This is all about how your mind works!

When you learned to read, you were told that you had to give up the infantile way you had learned so well up to then. As you learn to read, you disconnect from your natural photographic (eidetic) memory. But, you never lose it. You have just lost touch with it. Inadvertently, you have given up your ability to access your photographic memory.

Fortunately, all is not lost. While you have been ‘reading’ inefficiently, you have unknowingly let a MONSTER run your subconscious in the background. This monster is exercising something that you misplaced – access to your photographic memory. This monster is also known as Subliminal Advertising.

There is a MONSTER in your closet!

Why do I refer to subliminal advertising as a monster? Most of you know the stories of how subliminal advertising started back in 1957. You must also realize the first products that used subliminals in their advertising also became the biggest names in their industries.

Most businesses today believe the only way to stay competitive in their market is to continuously pummel you with subliminal advertising. It is estimated the subliminal advertising industry does business in the 100’s of billions of dollars each year. That is more than what some countries are worth.

So, yes, I am justified in saying that subliminal advertising IS a monster, a large monster that eats holes in your wallet.

You thought you were doing nothing; just sitting there watching TV, reading magazines, and listening to your favorite music. But, you were wrong. The subliminal advertising that takes its toll on your wallet every day has actually been exercising and refreshing something very precious – your photographic memory! Subliminal advertising does the job it is meant to do because it uses the photographic memory as its medium for programming your subconscious to do its bidding.

Shopping Addiction & Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

So what is subliminal advertising doing for you? Is it making you work harder and longer to ‘satisfy the beast’? Does it make you buy things you just gotta’ have? I remember the lady that had 27 sets of china. Most of them were still in the unopened box they came in. What about the guy that has several hundred golf clubs. He can only use so many when he goes golfing. And his name is NOT Tiger Woods. Look around, we all know someone like this. It may even be you.

Is this behavior a little close to obsessive-compulsive disorder? Maybe; or just maybe subliminal advertising is accelerating the buying patterns, and pushing people over the edge to become “Collectors”?

So now that you have realized that most people have a monster in their closet that exercises the photographic memory, and keeps it nimble and quick. Let’s go back to a solution to help you reconnect that unique thing that you were born with and never lose.

Gain Control

FEAR NOT! Enter Mental Photography (ZOXing). Mental Photography asserts itself to give you access to what you have misplaced; the ‘remote control’ to your photographic memory. Once you reconnect and gain control over your access, you can also affect the other things (subliminal advertising) that influence you.

So, thanks to Subliminal Advertising, your monster in your closet, you still have a well-oiled photographic memory to tap into!

You see the problem.

You know the solution.

Do something about it!

Great Things Happen Here!

It would be great if you could fill your mind with 25,000, 100,000, even 200,000 words per minute? What about that photographic memory that you were born with?

You thought you were overwhelmed by information before? Just look at this!

There are over 1 trillion pages on the internet, whereas there are only 6.7 billion people! And it is estimated that it would take one person 31,000 years without any sleep to visit all of them. This has all been built since 1969.

What would happen if you wanted to be an expert in any field? First you would start with information.

Where do most people get information these days?

The Internet

By the time you read the information available to make you an EXPERT in your chosen field, most of that information would be obsolete.

Let’s put your brain to work. If you were to reverse-engineer what we have just covered, where is the bottleneck? What is stopping you from covering the required information in only a little time?

Reading

Reading speed averages ~250 words per minute – usually less than one page in a minute.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could cover information like a living breathing computer, accessing millions of words per minute? Wouldn’t it be great if you could be filling your mind with 25,000, 100,000, even 200,000 words per minute? What about that photographic memory that you were born with?

Well, you better not take too long to think about it. You are not just being left in the dust; you are buried and pushing up posies! Watch out, another day gone, here comes another billion pages at you.

Yes, you made it through another year. But wait, you haven’t made it through Christmas yet. You haven’t made it through the gift giving season yet. What to do?

Please hear me out. Just around the corner is the NEW Year, 2010. Yes, you made it through another year. But wait, you haven’t made it through Christmas yet. You haven’t made it through the gift giving season yet. Some of you cannot get out due to a huge snow storm and still have gifts to buy at the last minute.

What can you give someone that could give them what they need to make a better life for themselves?

And what about you? What about that New Years Resolution that is going to give you success in the Happy New Year? Have you even had a moment to yourself to think about it? The New Year is just around the corner…

Please give me a moment to paint a picture for you.

If you want to become better at something, if you want to get a different job, better pay, better education, better home life, better relationships, better at whatever it is that makes you feel good about yourself so you can do even better than before, STOP!

I want you to take a moment and THINK of what makes all of these things come to life for you?

INFORMATION

It all starts at gaining information. Anything that you want to become better at, you must learn about it first. You need information that will get you to move to that new reality you are building. You need to put your brain power to good use. Put your mind in motion. This is what we refer to as Brain Management.

You also need to gain twenty years of information in twenty minutes. You need an edge. You need to tap into the natural resources you already have. The ones you were born with, like your photographic memory.

Yes, you already have a photographic memory. It has been there all along. You are just disconnected from directly using it. Can you reconnect to it? YES! The HOW is where things get interesting.

Back in 1975, privately funded research had found a way to reconnect you with your naturally occurring photographic memory. It even benefits your memory. That discovery is known as Mental Photography, or ZOXing.

If you want to give yourself, or someone you know, something that will give ‘the edge’ from this day forward, you should probably consider this. You can visit us at www.ZOXpro.com/

Yes, I already know what you are thinking. But how are you to know that the product is there if I don’t tell you about it. You’re not psychic, YET! (I just had to do that…)
